SCOPE OF ENGAGEMENT
A Regional Bank, growing both organically and through acquisition, found itself in need of a more robust process framework to ensure a repeatable and sustainable approach and delivery across the full enterprise. Many of their processes were outdated, some were non-existent, and others created, but never documented.
THE SOLUTION
At the Bank’s request, BASG provided a Senior Process Manager who brought leadership in similar situations and extensive history in banking environments. He tackled the development of the new process management framework with a broad and in-depth current state review and did extensive research through internal meetings and conversations to solidify the specific goals, direction and approach the organization needed to take. He was then able to make recommendations and begin implementation of the changes to create consistent, documented, and repeatable processes through a sustainable process management framework.
THE RESULT
The new process management framework was immediately tested twice. The first was by moving the Bank’s home equity loan processing to a centralized location and the second was through the collection and gathering of mortgage compliance data.
The efforts described above moved the organization to firmer footing in terms of process creation, process updating and process documentation, enabling the Bank to confidently make the most of efficiency opportunities which have arisen recently. The Consultant’s work has expanded to include areas of implementation and integration and is far from finished. COVID19 has brought an even sharper Bank focus on enhanced productivity and efficiency through Process Management.
